Internet of Construction
The BMBF-funded research project Internet of Construction (IoC) explores the digitalization and interconnection of construction processes throughout the value chain and faces the implementation of robotic processes and Industry 4.0 technologies with a broad consortium of industry partners. The consortium joins suppliers of construction machinery and robots with users in prefabrication and on construction sites as well as research institutes from architecture, mechanical engineering, and economics. As a unique feature, the IoC incorporates the reference site Aachen West as a living lab where new approaches are put into practice and evaluated in a real-world scenario
